Super Air

The many applications of Enriched Air

Portable Oxygen Concentration (POC) Systems

What is it?:

Portable oxygen concentrators (POCs) provide enhanced air (containing up to 90% O2) for people with limited breathing capacity due to lung disease.

Why is it needed?:

Due to rapid industrialization, poor emissions and an aging population in many parts of the world, the need for enhanced oxygen therapy will become critical within the next decade.

What does portable mean?:

There are two types of POCs. Continuous or Pulse, both based on zeolite adsorption technology. Pulse POCs delivers intermittent enriched air.  Typically, Pulse POCs can be carried in small shoulder bags but cannot deliver enough oxygen during high levels of physical activity. Continuous type POCs deliver a constant flow of enriched air, but requires equipment about the size  and weight of a carry-on luggage.

Can OOYOO Technology achieve more portable POCs?:

Oxygen tanks are really not portable, and other conventional (POC) technology work like sponges for oxygen. Such technologies cannot scale down without losing capacity to adsorb.  OOYOO membranes work like windows, letting oxygen through but not nitrogen. OOYOO membranes are designed to be faster than not only conventional POCs but also other membrane technologies so it can scale down.

OOYOO has developed high performance oxygen separation filter technology, that when converted into devices could make the future oxygen concentrators, as powerful as a desktop POC but with the portability of a mobile device.
